Hayo Riemersma

Hayo Riemersma was born in 1950 and studied at the Royal Academy for Arts of
Design in The Hague and his work has been acquired by private collectors, the corporate
world and governments. In both paintings and monumental projects, his subject matter
comes from everyday life, the media world, cliché's from the pop culture, from film and
advertising. His choice of modern materials show the vitality of painting — his work
has been described as "the art of painting of the twenty first century".
